A Decision Made (Finally)......Time to Acknowledge Everyone
After months and months of thinking....of evaluating and re-evaluating the odds.... I've finally decided to go back to Hollywood. It's been what...three, four years? Yes, I believe it has.
Since I left Hollywood, I've had a prospering (and much respected) career as Film Critic with Images (and Instep), and I'd like to thank my good friend Qasim Abdullah Moini and editor Faisal Qureishi for giving me the platform to express film criticism the way it should be expressed in the trades here.
I've really been interested to get back to Hollywood, but I just couldn't find that certain spark, until a friend informed me that I had been listed in Wikipedia. This encouragement made me realize what I was missing and now thanks to that article I'm back on track.
I believe there are still people in L.A. who wondered where I went (especially after I had secured solid investors) when I was so close to starting my Production Company 'The K Development Company' in 2003. And what happened to the projects I was shepherding?
These are valid questions which I will be more than happy to explain to everyone, personally. Internet diaries aren't a place for personal and business discussions. E-mails and Phone Calls are.
In the meantime, I would like to thank Jorge Falconi, Kristine Harlan, Bonnie Bruckheimer, Marilyn Beaubein, Clayton Townsend, Nick Gillott, Robert Schwartz, Andy Clough, Mark Maine and Harris Tulchin for agreeing to come aboard my projects (or push them in the right direction) when I was actively pursuing film-making in the US.
Most of all, I'd like to thank Mark Headley for being a great friend who has always been there to guide me in my decisions.
I think its time to rekindle my fire once again, and I'm happy to be back -- just as soon as I'm done with An Accidental Tourist, here. Just a few more months guys.
